YOUTH in me speaks
I’m just another common youth who sometimes gets caught in rain, sometimes in blast, and sometimes in protest. I am the one who suffers the most in a traffic jam,, protests, elections, racial discrimination and curfews. I have been called immature, tagged as a maverick but I am a YOUTH whose potentials are great. I came here with a hell lot of failures; coming up here I have no hidden agenda, I will speak what I felt and what I saw.
I am a YOUTH, I can do anything and my reach is endless. I have been tagged for doing nothing and just enjoying my life, smoking, drinking, doping but we are the future of this nation. Look around the world and see the problems, the foul politics where ministers make money and then another comes just to spoil the society. Who cares for the nation? I see my future nowhere; I face downfalls, lost love and burdened by responsibilities. I am dejected. I am broken; love me because I ma like you all, I’m just another human being trying to earn money and trying to do my job. There is one thing- our county which we have to make better. But who has time for it, everyone is busy with their own lives. There are some politicians who are loyal and are running this country but most of them are corrupt.
I would like to ask everyone a simple question. How many of you go out on Independence Day to salute our national flag? How many sing the national anthem on republic day? Most of us take these as national holidays and we enjoy the holidays by either sleeping or by remaining at home with our families. Isn’t it correct?
We expect so much from our country; but we hardly do anything for it. But our main problem is, instead of fighting the situation and system we get complacent and get used to our lives, situation and forget everything going around. This is our main problem, we forget everything going around. We are the once, who saw bloody discrimination; who became a victim of such protests. But the politics stinks, they are criminals moving openly. If peoples are migrating then why these ministers don’t create opportunities for them, they just talk and give big lectures. This is not acceptable, this system is fraud.
The demand of the hour is YOUTH. We will join politics, will become bureaucrats. India will change. I heard the call of my nation; I heard it late but I’m happy at least I heard it. We will open up our companies, will be the entrepreneurs of tomorrow and we can definitely change the nation. Did you have to worry about these things when you were young? I too don’t have the solution but I want to fight.
I am a YOUTH who wants to make his country clean; the country that has been polluted with foul politics and corruption. Does anyone have problems if I feel awakened? I was always dissatisfied by the system going around, but I could not get time as I was running after money. But now I am free and will stand up for my nation.
